Raphaël McDonald
PhD Candidate in Statistics
Dalhousie University

Having obtained a Master’s in Biology at Dalhousie University focusing on spatio-temporal stock assessment and with a stint working as a scallop biologist within Fisheries and Oceans Canada, I am currently pursuing a PhD in Statistics with a focus on spatial statistics, spatio-temporal modelling, and error propagation. My professional interests generally focus on the application of these statistical methods within fisheries science. My current research projects involve the incorporation of spatial structure and habitat within stock assessment models and the impact of different sampling designs on complex hierarchical spatio-temporal models.
