Kedar Pandya is a graduate student in the Master of Computer Science program at Dalhousie University. He completed a Bachelor in Computer Science and Engineering at Gujarat Technological University in 2022, with a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning.
He is interested in the real-world applications of computer vision and natural language processing. In his work as a research assistant with BenthicNet, he hopes to explore the image data in the dataset and conduct studies on image classification and object detection.
Under the supervision of Professor Thomas Trappenberg, Kedar aims to apply his interests in AI to ecological research. He is excited to collaborate across disciplines and gain experience working with complex image datasets. Through his graduate studies, Kedar hopes to develop his skills in computer vision and NLP to tackle challenging problems at the intersection of technology and environmental conservation.
